Snoobi Opens in Switzerland

Finnish web analytics firm Snoobi Oy has opened an operation in Basel, Switzerland to support the German-speaking area of Europe.

Through the new Snoobi GmbH unit, the firm will focus on introducing its web analytics tool to Switzerland, Germany and Austria, as well as providing services and consultancy. The tool offers web site traffic analysis revealing visitors do online, which organizations they belong to and how they arrived at a site in the first place.

The firm already has operations in the Netherlands and Estonia, and in May launched a localised Latvian operation, through subsidiary operation Snoobi Latvia SIA.

'We are extremely happy to announce our latest expansion in the European markets,' said CEO Jukka Ropponen. 'German speaking areas have a lot of potential and now we can address those customers via our Basel based operations.'

Snoobi Oy employs 37 people in Finland and predicts 2009 turnover of EUR 2.9m.
