McCann and TNS Launch Singapore Health Study

August 26 2009

TNS Healthcare and consumer comms agency McCann Healthcare have linked to launch the first in a series of studies providing insights into the Singapore health sector.

Their first study - the 'First Aid Recession Kit' - is the result of in-depth interviews with consumers and health professionals in Singapore.

With responses polled from three categories of consumers including young professional women, young mothers and patients actively managing chronic conditions, as well as individual in-depth interviews with doctors from different specialties, the firms say the findings have already provided some valuable insights.

Stephen Potts, TNS Healthcare Regional Director Healthcare Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa says the study aims to understand how the economic downturn is affecting customers and how healthcare companies should support them. Dr Sebastien Boisseau, Senior Strategic Planner at McCann Healthcare Worldwide Singapore comments: 'Continuous research and study to uncover insights about our target audience ensures that we keep our finger on the pulse of the environment we operate in, giving us the knowledge and understanding to build powerful brand strategies.'

To date, the study has revealed that even as Singaporeans become more budget conscious due to the economic downturn, demand for healthcare products and services remains largely consistent.
