EVP Behbehani Leaves Arbitron

In the US, Arbitron has confirmed that EVP Taher Behbehani, one of three top men brought in as part of a major restructure announced earlier in the year, has left the company.

Behbehani arrived in April to fill the newly created post of EVP, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer; the third of three senior appointments announced at the end of February as part of a shake-up designed to facilitate effective decision-making. In March the company had appointed Alton Adams and Dr Robert Henrick, both still with the company, as EVP Chief Marketing Officer and EVP Customer Solutions, respectively.

Behbehani joined from Time Warner Cable Inc. where he was VP, Business Affairs, establishing advertising partnerships and leading negotiations for video delivery, advanced advertising, wireless, and Internet services. He worked earlier for companies including 3Com Corporation, SourceFire Inc. and UTStarcom Inc., and has started several companies in the online web services, telecom and wireless industries.

Arbitron filed a note with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday to the effect that Behbehani had left, and confirmed this today but had no further comment to add.
