Maktoob Opens 'Arab Eye' Online Consumer Community

MENA agency Maktoob Research has launched 'Arab Eye', an online community aimed at providing a voice for consumers in the Arab world.

Marouane Sanhaji'Arab Eye' will offer consumers a platform from which to participate in online surveys and polls on topics of interest. Its English/Arabic web site can be personalised with an individual log and profile page for each member, and these can be updated to ensure members only receive surveys that match their profile and interests.

Members will be able to collect rewards through a point system each time they participate in a survey or poll, and these points can be redeemed against cashU credit which can be spent in several leading gift shops and gaming companies.

The site also allows members to post poll questions through discussion boards, where fellow members will be able to view live results.

'By introducing 'Arab Eye', we seek to provide our members an exciting and rewarding community environment while offering them a dynamic platform to express their thoughts, ideas and opinions,' said Panel Manager Marouane Sanhaji.

Yahoo! recently acquired Maktoob Research's parent firm, online community Maktoob.com, in a bid to deliver relevant Arabic-language content and services, as well as Arabic versions of Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Mail services.
