Concise to Offer Research and Analytics in Australia

Independent marketing consultancy Iris is to open a branch of its in-house strategy consultancy Concise in Australia, which will add research and analytics, CRM, loyalty and commercial innovation to its existing offering.

Peter Clifton SmithIris - which provides advertising, PR, digital, direct marketing, and sales promotion services - acquired Concise last year.

Concise's new research and analytics services will include market positioning, primary customer research, mystery shopper and customer audits, pricing and trend analysis, as well as market assessments and benchmarking.

The new office will be headed by Peter Clifton Smith, who joined the firm in 2007. Previously, he was a Senior Consultant with PR and communications agency Rowland, and a Research Analyst with think tank the Australian Business Foundation.

Clifton Smith will head the division as Director, with the launch overseen by Iris APAC's recently appointed regional CEO Josh Thomson and Simon Porter, MD of Iris Australia. Thomson co-founded Concise in 2002, before its $10m sale to Iris.

'Our aim is to offer more breadth, depth and value by forging relationships further upstream in our clients' business strategies.'
