In the UK, John Charnock, formerly Technical Director at print company St Ives, has set up his own firm to offer business analysis and consultancy to print and media clients.
Print Research International will provide specialist skills to help with business areas including sales, marketing, IT, printing, packaging and colour management, according to www.printweek.com ; and will offer access to consultants in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
Charnock, who says changes in the industry mean media firms must improve their analysis and strategic planning through business and market research, hopes to put the consultancy resource which proved successful for St Ives within the reach of smaller companies in the sector.
