Pike Launches Energy Advisory Service

In the US, clean technology market specialist Pike Research has launched the 'Smart Grid Advisory Service', a subscription-based tool that provides market intelligence and insights for companies in the energy technology sector.

Pike, which was formed last year by former ABI Research leader Clint Wheelock, offers industry analysis for global clean technology markets. Its new service covers grid automation, smart metering and energy management applications, which it says are defining the next generation of the electrical grid.

The service provides detailed analysis of utility smart grid deployments and construction of microgrids, examination of business models and technology issues including scalability and security, and quantification of the smart grid market opportunity across different sectors.

As part of the new service, the firm's analysts will provide market insights covering specific technology and business sectors, as well as overall market conditions and trends.
