Progressive Names New MD

In Scotland, full-service market research agency Progressive has promoted Louise Fraser to the position of Managing Director, following the departure of Mark Cuthbert who has left to 'pursue other interests'. The firm has also appointed Frances Dobson as Research Director.

Louise FraserFounded in 1985, Edinburgh-headquartered Progressive, which also has a satellite office in Glasgow, works across both the public and private sectors and employs 21 permanent staff.

Fraser has been with Progressive for more than six years, and has spent the last three years as a Board member and Head of the Executive team. In this role, she is responsible for many key client relationships.

Prior to joining, Fraser worked as Research Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland, was a Senior Research Executive at NFO System Three, and a Consultant at Infratest Burke.

Dobson (nee Hoskin) joins with a background in the financial and housing sectors. Most recently, she worked as Research & Information Manager at regulatory body the Tenant Services Authority, prior to which she was Director of Consumer Insight at Capital One, and Research Director at NOP World.

The firm said in a statement that Cuthbert, who has been on gardening leave since November, has left 'with the good wishes of the whole team'.
