Synovate Appoints Travel Research Veteran

In the US, Synovate has appointed Jim Quilty as Vice President of its Travel and Leisure Group, responsible for expanding the business by developing new and existing client relationships.

The division offers research services to the airline, hospitality, cruise, hotel and tourism sectors, and specializes in online, telephone and mail data collection, qual and quant, and mystery shopping.

Quilty joins with more than 16 years' experience in the travel and tourism industry. Most recently, he was VP Travel and Tourism at Ipsos, prior to which, he spent five years as head of Harris Interactive's Travel and Tourism practice. Before this, he held sales and marketing positions at Sabre Holdings, in both the Travel Network and Airline Solutions business units.

In his new role, Quilty will be involved in the overall direction of all client projects, and consulting with clients on study design and research methodology.
