Partners Launch 'Co-Creation Hub' in London

February 24 2010

In London, a collective of agencies, organisations, academics and individuals have joined to launch The Co-Creation Hub; a platform through which participants can co-create new products and services.

Andrew NeedhamFounding members including youth market research and creative agency Face, which has co-created projects for international brands such as Coca-Cola, Nokia, Unilever and Reckitt Benckiser.

Other members include ad agency Farm, media planning agency Opticomm, brand design agency Mojo, and social media development firm thrudigital.

At its core, the Hub is about collaboration and involving consumers at every stage of the marketing planning and brand communications process.

Face founding Partner Andrew Needham explains: 'We need a more collaborative, adaptive and continuous model of marketing - one that is based on the core co-creation principle of doing things with people not at them. We call it Adaptive Brand Planning; a model that will ultimately be better placed in helping our clients deal with the advent of social brands.'

The Hub has already started work on its first crowdsourcing project - Co-Create London - which invites Londoners to join together to discuss their issues and find solutions. Online votes will be gathered on the ideas generated from the co-creation workshop, and the idea with the most votes will be presented to London Mayor Boris Johnson.

The Co-Creation Hub - London is the first of a planned number of Hubs across the world, and the founders say that the concept will be rolled out globally as the principle of co-creativity grows and develops in territories such as Latin America, Asia and the USA.
