UK Office for Internet Analyst MediaBadger

Canadian research and social media intelligence firm MediaBadger has opened an office in west London, to co-ordinate all UK and European clients and projects.

MediaBadger has developed proprietary software that monitors the Internet - including social media - for data for consumer market research, brand analysis and reputation management, analysing sentiment, gender and age groups.

The company says it will also conduct some technical development of its monitoring and analysis software in the UK office, which will be run by Robert Snell, co-founder and managing partner. Snell comments: 'Weve been able to meet US and Canadian client needs from Nova Scotia, but felt a direct presence in England would better serve growing demand in the EU and UK.'

MediaBadger says it will look to build its analyst, research and software development team over the next year in both London and Halifax, Nova Scotia, but will remain headquartered in the latter.

MD Giles Crouch says about ninety percent of the company's business is between the US and Europe, with the majority in Europe, which made expansion into London 'a logical business decision' as the economic climate there improves.
