Medical Panel Firms Ally

May 24 2010

Online medical network Doctors.net.uk has today announced a strategic alliance with Medcenter Holdings Inc., an online healthcare marketing company in Latin/Central America and Iberia, for cross-selling and co-marketing.

The partnership aims to help both companies to broaden their geographical reach, strengthening their offering in particular for global pharma clients and cross-border health organisations. Services offered will include market research, medical education and the promotion of pharmaceutical products, and the partners claim theirs will be 'the broadest-reaching online medical marketing communications network outside the US'.

Doctors.net.uk has more than 174,000 members who are licensed UK doctors, and over 50,000 users per week. Medcenter, meanwhile, has more than 500,000 healthcare professionals as members, more than 300,000 using its services each month, and a network of 280 Medical Associations.

Doctors.net.uk CEO Richard Adams says the alliance is 'a perfect fit', adding: 'We have for some time been exploring how to better serve the needs of our pharmaceutical and healthcare industry clients on an international basis.'

Carlos Reis, CEO of Medcenter, says his firm's new partners is 'ideal' and comments: 'The Alliance enables us to grow our business in Europe and better serve the global pharmaceutical industry.'

In March medeConnect Healthcare Insight, the market research division of Doctors.net.uk, upgraded its GP Omnibus research service, reducing delivery times to two weeks.
