LiveWorld Debuts Facebook Crowdsourcing Tool

June 8 2010

US social network marketing agency LiveWorld has rolled out a survey application to enable brands to crowdsource ideas on Facebook.

David FriedmanThe firm says its new 'Facebook Idea Power 2.0' platform can be used to test new product ideas and learn about markets. Consumers can submit, tag and vote on ideas in text, photo, audio and video formats.

The solution contains widgets which highlight top ideas, top contributors, featured ideas and leader boards; and features LiveWorld's 'Brand Idea Collaboration Page', which allows brands to present their own ideas for customer review and feedback.

Features include direct linking to the user's Facebook profile, as well as the facility to publish a user's posts to the brand's 'wall' and to their Facebook Activity Feed - which spreads to the user's friends with links back to the brand's page.

The tool also includes LiveWorld's moderation tools, which filter language and enable moderators to review and approve or reject user content.

'LiveWorld's Idea Power brings crowdsourcing to Facebook, where over 500 million people are already congregating,' says Chairman and CEO Peter Friedman. 'It opens up a much larger universe to brands for their marketing, research and product development.'
