DisplaySearch HQ Moves to Silicon Valley

US flat panel technology specialist DisplaySearch has relocated its corporate headquarters from Austin, Texas to Santa Clara, California, where a number of its market research analysts and clients are located. The firm has also expanded its presence in Asia with two new hires.

Tim BushFounded in 1996 and now part of the NPD Group, DisplaySearch provides global market research and consultancy services specifically focused on the display supply chain and display-related industries. The firm will maintain an office in Austin, Texas from which it will focus on web, sales and marketing, as well as editorial and publishing operations.

Additionally, Anita Huang has joined the company as Market Research Analyst serving the company in Taiwan and China, while Liz Yoon becomes Sales and Marketing Manager in Korea.

Huang previously worked for ASUSTeK Corporation, where she was responsible for handling panel sourcing and corporate strategic planning for displays. Before this, she held both corporate and product marketing positions at ChiMei Optoelectronics Corp.

Most recently, Yoon spent six years at Samsung SDI, working on the company's plasma display panel development and marketing teams. She joins with experience in both technology and marketing gained through technology analysis, competitor benchmarking and industry forecasting.

'Ms Huang and Ms Yoon join our existing team in Asia, where we have more than 30 people dedicated to our coverage of the display industry,' explains Tim Bush, President of DisplaySearch and General Manager of The NPD Group. 'This now includes 15 display industry experts in Korea and Taiwan, where in depth coverage is required to effectively report on the display market.'
