Eye Square Opens Tokyo Office

September 7 2010

German user and brand research specialist Eye Square has opened a new office in Tokyo, Japan, as a base from which to support its Asian clients.

Stefan NüsperlingEye Square - which specialises in user experience, ad effectiveness and shopper research - uses and develops neuro-psychological methodologies such as eye tracking, galvanic skin response and EEG to uncover the unconscious motivations of consumers.

Back in 2007, TNS acquired a 15% stake in the firm, which it said at the time reflected an increased client demand for usability advice and consultancy.

Eye Square's new office will be led by Stefan Nüsperling, who has served as a Research Consultant with the firm since 2007, while also working as an eye tracking specialist for usability testing firm Japan Marketing Intelligence. Nüsperling says the company will open further international offices 'in the coming weeks' and adds: 'The opening of the Tokyo office is the start of an intensive on-site support for our international clients.'

As well as its HQ in Berlin and the new office in Japan, the firm also has operations in London, UK, and Seoul, Korea.
