New Agency to Advise on Online Reputation

In the UK, media communications specialist Elizabeth Filippouli has launched Global Thinkers - a branding, media intelligence and PR agency designed to help clients manage and analyse their online reputation.

Elizabeth FilippouliFilippouli has worked with international media outlets and global corporations for more than 15 years. In 2008 she founded We Media, a UK-based media and strategic communications company, and earlier this year she launched Globeez, an Internet business focusing on trade between emerging markets and the developed world. Earlier in her career, she was a journalist for Al Jazeera and CNN.

Her new firm is dedicated to helping global corporations manage the buzz generated about them on social and online media.

According to Filippouli, the theory behind Global Thinkers is that traditional marketing and advertising methods simply don't work in the ever-changing online world. She believes what's important is how a brand is perceived in the blogosphere, on social media networks and in other non-traditional but influential online communities.
