US-based digital marketing research firm InsightExpress has appointed Matt Butner as Vice President, Director, Media and Brand Research, with a remit to oversee the integration of analytics into its research solutions.Founded in 1999, InsightExpress specializes in the measurement of advertising and brand communications. The firm is headquartered in Stamford, CT, and also has offices in San Francisco and New York.
Butner joins from ad agency Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, where he served as Director of Analytics, responsible for building the agency's data analytics capabilities and integrating new technologies and tools into its services.
Prior to this, he was Data Strategist Manager at McCann-Erickson, where he led the development and deployment of large scale research initiatives for a leading global technology firm; and before this he worked as a Research Programmer at Keck Cluster Research / National Science Foundation.
In his new role, Butner will be involved in the company's new product development efforts, with a focus on next-generation market research and analytics solutions relating to the measurement of advertising and brand communications. He reports to the company's SVP, Chief Research Officer, Marc Ryan, who welcomes his 'outstanding credentials as well as his knowledge of and passion for measurement and optimization'.
