Smye Holland Hires Jol for Overseas Expansion

In the UK, marcoms consultancy Smye Holland Associates is planning further overseas expansion in 2011, following the appointment of Onno Jol as General Manager of its operations in The Netherlands.

Based in Peterborough, the firm provides market research, marketing planning, marketing communications and PR services. It specialises in B2B marketing and has particular expertise in the construction, technology and engineering, and environment and waste management sectors.

In June 2009, the firm opened an office in Castricum, near Amsterdam, with the aim of helping clients with their export marketing.

Jol is the founder of management consultancy P36 in Amsterdam, through which he helps clients strengthen their market positions or enter new markets. His new brief is to help Smye Holland Associates develop international business.

'There is a certain synergy between Onno's role at P36 Solutions and the work we do at Smye Holland Associates,' states MD Mike Holland.
