Market Dynamics Founder Forms ROI Specialist

In the UK Jonathan Francis, the founder of forecasting specialist Market Dynamics, has set up a new consultancy called Tresell, focused on improving clients' return on marketing investment.

Jonathan FrancisFrancis says his new venture aims to deliver 20% more return on marketing spend, for 20% less investment. Tresell combines market intelligence with financial analysis and modelling, through the employment of analytical techniques such as market simulation, market network analysis and econometrics.

'The old adage 'I know 50% of my marketing is wasted, but I don't know which half,' is no longer acceptable in today's marketing environment,' explains Francis. 'We love clever thinking, but get real satisfaction from delivering simple solutions that our clients can adopt, act on, and see results from.'

For the past five years, Francis has served as MD at MIML (Marketing Intelligence Management Ltd), before which he founded Market Dynamics and sold it to Ipsos MORI in 2002. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years as a director at The Henley Centre for Forecasting, and prior to this he was Market Research Manager at ICI Paints.
