New Markets for Symphony Analytics

In the US, SymphonyIRI has expanded beyond the consumer products goods (CPG), retail and healthcare categories, to offer its Symphony Analytics platform to a broader range of clients, including those in the apparel and financial services sectors.

Robert HolstonThe firm's Symphony Analytics suite of tools and services help clients to develop market-wide plans which take into account trade, pricing, and consumer marketing, and includes predictive analytical techniques, proprietary rapid-modeling platforms, automated solutions, and input from experienced analytics consultants.

Commenting on the expansion, Symphony Analytics EVP Robert Holston explains: 'While the dynamics of each vertical market we serve are different, all face certain common issues. These include dramatic shifts in consumers' buying patterns, ongoing price volatility, accelerated use of new media and digital marketing, and large amounts of data that decision makers are currently unable to leverage optimally.'

In addition to focusing on other vertical markets, the firm has updated the predictive analytic capabilities of its 'Integrated Automated Analytics' platform, which is powered by its proprietary Liquid Modeling engine. Holston says this platform now provides 'richer insights' in pricing, marketing mix, and forecasting analytics in a matter of hours.
