Sample Marketplace Launched

Investment firm Robaco International has launched an online sample marketplace called ex-sample.com, through which panel providers can bid to win projects from market research agencies.

The new London-based firm offers a platform which links market researchers with those online sample providers committed to compliance with the ICC/ESOMAR Code as well as with regional legislation on data protection.

Through the site, market researchers can post details of their tenders and panel providers can respond with their bids. Anonymity for both parties is guaranteed. After the closing date, the researcher can select the most appropriate sample provider.

Service providers receive requests from buyers free of charge, and may also submit a bid to perform the job free of charge. However, once a bid is accepted by the buyer, the service request is converted into a scheduled job, and the service provider is charged a commission.

The site already claims to provide more than 10,000 market researchers with access to over seven million market research panellists.

'With the ex-sample.com platform, we have created a service that did not exist before,' states Eric Stoop, MD for Europe. 'We are convinced that the time is right because both the market research industry and sample providers will benefit from the ease of finding each other on the platform.'
