Keynote Revenue Jumps in Third Quarter

US-based Internet and mobile monitoring specialist Keynote Systems has reported 'record revenue' of $26.6m for the third fiscal quarter of 2011, compared with $19.3m in the prior year period. For the past nine months, revenue has increased 18% year-on-year to $75.5m.

Umang GuptaHeadquartered in San Mateo, California, Keynote was founded in 1995 and provides testing, monitoring and measurement products and services for clients including online portals, e-commerce and B2B sites, mobile operators and infrastructure providers.

Last year, the company launched Visitor Insights; a web site visitor feedback service which links visitor attitudes to actual surfing behaviour.

Net income this quarter was $4.2m, compared with a net loss of $315k in the third fiscal quarter of 2010. In the last nine months, operating income increased to $11.5m from $1.1m in the prior year period, while net income was $11.1m, compared with $522k.

Chairman and CEO Umang Gupta says the record figures reflect a rise in customer demand, and adds: 'We highlight the renewed momentum of our Internet business, which grew 18% year-over-year, and we continue to see strong growth in our mobile business.'

For the fourth quarter, Keynote expects total revenue of $26.0m to $27.0m.
