Parker Takes Senior Insight Role at Initiative

In the UK, media agency Initiative has appointed former Associated Newspapers Insight Manager Liz Parker as Head of Research Worldwide.

Liz ParkerInitiative is part of Interpublic Group's media management arm Mediabrands, and offers data, analytics, insight and innovation services. The firm employs more than 2,500 professionals working in 91 offices across 70 markets worldwide.

Parker will work to develop the firm's communications planning offering through enhanced consumer research and insight. She joins from Daily Mail-owner Associated Newspapers, where she led the company's research team as Insight Manager.

Prior to this, she was Principal Research Manager at Vodafone, Senior Research Manager at Lloyds TSB, and Knowledge Manager at Boots Retail International. Earlier, she served as Group Marketing & Research Manager at Centrica, and Research Manager at both Abbey and Nationwide Building Society. She began her research career at Eagle Star.

In her new role, she reports to Sue Moseley, Worldwide Director of Research and Futures, and will work closely with the company's heads of strategy and planning, and with clients, to develop measures of consumer engagement.
