Cologne Proves Attractive for Confirmit

Online survey and reporting software company Confirmit has opened its first German office in Cologne, to be led by Business Development Director Dan Starkey.

Confirmit has more than 250 employees based at its HQ in Oslo, and offices in Guildford, London, Moscow, New York, San Francisco and Yaroslavl, Russia.

Back in June the firm had announced that it would open an office in Frankfurt, but in the event Cologne was preferred due to its proximity to other cities and industrial diversity.

Starkey (pictured) has been with Confirmit since 2007 and has worked closely with the company's German customers while based in the London office. He has already begun to recruit local staff for the new operation.

'Germany is a strong economic centre and one where we have been active for a number of years', states President and CEO Henning Hansen. 'We decided that the time is now right for us to set up a permanent presence in the country, from where we can support our current clients and create exciting new opportunities in a variety of vertical markets.'
