Innerscope Completes Funding Round

September 21 2011

US-based neuromarketing firm Innerscope Research has closed the final tranche of a $9.4million round of Series A funding.

The firm says the money will help to develop a new and more scalable platform to improve geographic representation, reduce turnaround time and accelerate its expansion in the USA and abroad.

Founded in 2006, Innerscope has more than doubled revenue in the last two years and in the last four months alone says it has increased the headcount in its research and development team by more than 60% and in its operations team by more than 40%.

Rival neuromarketing firm EmSense meanwhile appears to be in the throes of a possible break-up and/or sale.

CEO and Chief Scientist Dr. Carl Marci comments: 'We're thrilled with our growth and believe this investment will allow us to continue to lead the industry in applying neuroscience and unconscious emotional responses to media and advertising research.' He adds: 'In the coming months we will announce this new technology that will revolutionize the way biometric data is collected.'
