US Firms Partner for Enhanced 'Big Data' Solution

September 23 2011

Analytics firm Kognitio has announced a partnership with Adastra Corporation, combining Kognitio's technology - in particular its in-memory analytic database platform, WX2 - with professional services and consulting on data warehousing and big data analytics.

Adastra helps clients with data warehousing, business intelligence and data integration and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. The partners will co-market and co-sell WX2-based solutions, which Adastra will implement, initially for clients in North America and Europe but with plans to roll it out worldwide.

WX2 enables firms to turn massive amounts of raw, complex data into practical insights. Kognitio's other innovations in business intelligence (BI), data warehousing, analytics and big data markets have included Data Warehousing as a Service (DaaS) and virtual OLAP cubes.

Adastra Canada. CEO Darren Edery says the partnership will enable his firm to incorporate in-memory databases into its offer of 'best-in-class Information Management solutions and services'. Steve Millard, SVP, North American Sales, Kognitio says the deal will 'change how companies of all sizes can access and utilize the benefits of the WX2 in-memory analytic database solution.'

Kognitio is headquartered in Chicago and in Bracknell, UK, with additional offices in other US cities. The two firms are online at www.kognitio.com and www.adastracorp.com .
