newBrandAnalytics Raises $26m

November 11 2011

In the US, social media analytics specialist newBrandAnalytics (nBA) - whose clients are in the hotel, casino, restaurant and retail sectors - has raised $26m in Series B financing.

Ashish GambhirnBA develops proprietary software and solutions, including flagship product 'Social Guest Satisfaction', which track guest satisfaction comments posted on social media, pulling out problems and complaints.

The firm was founded in 2007 by Neil Kataria, Kam Desai and Ashish Gambhir (pictured), who previously set up e-commerce company Conformia Software, later acquired by Oracle. The new investment has been led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from Steve Case's Revolution Ventures and Jeff Webber's The Entrepreneur's Fund, among others.

Funding will be used to accelerate customer acquisition and continue building a scalable sales model.

Kataria comments: 'This expansion capital validates newBrandAnalytics' approach as the most effective way to make sense of all the customer feedback from social media now available to businesses. The Internet is becoming a giant customer survey and as this new feedback channel emerges, we will use this capital to further accelerate our growth and to ensure the delivery of the market's most powerful solutions to our customers.'
