Partners Combine Physician and Healthcare Market Info

US firms HealthLink Dimensions and Billian's HealthDATA have formed a strategic alliance, which will combine the former's hospital-affiliated physician information with the latter's data on the inpatient, outpatient and long-term-care markets.

Billian's provides market intelligence about the healthcare industry, while also partnering with Porter Research to offer custom market research services. The firm's flagship sales and marketing database - the HealthDATA Portal - contains more than 3,000 data points about more than 40,000 healthcare facilities across the US, while HealthLink's data is based on more than 375,000 physician affiliations with more than 6,700 hospitals.

HealthLink Dimensions says the partnership will strengthen its hospital data product with a 'comprehensive physician data set', while bolstering the Portal database. VP and General Manager Kevin Guthrie states: 'We are excited about our new partnership and the opportunity to offer Billian's HealthDATA clients more visibility to the physicians working within the hospital networks'.
