'Voter Insider' Launches to ID Fraudulent Respondents

February 20 2012

In the US, political data services provider Catalist has teamed up with online research agency iModerate to launch 'Voter Insider' - a political research tool that can identify fraudulent respondents.

Harold IckesCatalist, which is led by political strategist and former Clinton advisor Harold Ickes, provides organizations with the data and services needed to identify, understand, and communicate with the people they need to target.

The firm maintains and constantly updates a database over 50 states, which contains information about more than 265 million people, over 180 million registered voters, and 85 million unregistered adults.

Its 'Voter Insider' tool has been developed to solve the issue of respondents misrepresenting their voting history and behaviours, by matching Catalist's proprietary database to respondent profiles from US panel providers uSamp, E-Rewards and SSI.

Once the authenticity of the respondents' profiles has been established, iModerate uses the sample to conduct quant/qual research, as well as dial testing, heat mapping and other services.

Ickes comments: 'The ability to conduct comprehensive political research online with your verified target audience represents a significant opportunity for researchers. Accuracy, insight and speed are paramount in the political arena. To be able to provide a solution that offers all three is exciting for us and our partners.'
