Arbitron Adds Tablets to UK Mobile Panel

Ratings giant Arbitron has added tablet measurement to its new UK Mobile Trends Panel service, a meter-based measure of how consumers use their phones to surf the web, engage with social media and act on mobile advertising.

Arbitron adds tablets to UK serviceLaunched in April, the service is based on an opt-in panel of 3,500 adults (18+), and can now provide app, web, media, device and network metrics for all major tablets in addition to smartphones.

Additionally, Arbitron has released UK Tablet Index reports - similar to those it produces for smartphones - to add depth to the mobile data analysis and reporting available, and provide estimates of reach, frequency and engagement with tablet devices.

Dr Hannu Verkasalo, SVP of Arbitron Mobile comments: 'We are now able to provide for tablets all the reports that we currently deliver for smartphones. We are also able to compare and contrast the behaviour of tablet users to that of smartphone users, so that users can optimise their mobile strategies in a rapidly evolving environment.'
