Umbel Hires Ex-Starcom Exec

In the US, audience measurement start-up Umbel has appointed Starcom Associate Media Director Amy Bickers as its Director of Agency Solutions.

The company which recently received $3.7m in Series A funding from Austin Ventures and hired Paul Krasinski, former SVP of Digital Media and Analytics at Arbitron, as its CEO, is still in private beta mode and expects to launch in the third quarter of this year.

In her new role, Bickers will lead the Agency Solutions Group responsible for designing and implementing solutions for planning and buying using the Umbel platform. At Publicis firm Starcom she worked in Chicago with major clients on strategic media plans. Her expertise includes digital, outdoor, print and radio on both national and local levels.

Krasinski said: 'I am thrilled to have Amy on our team.
