Irish Business Support Agency Launches MR Centre

State-run business development agency Enterprise Ireland has opened a new Market Research Centre to support Irish companies in developing their export plans.

Help for Irish businessesLocated at the agency's offices in East Point, Dublin 3, the Centre will provide subscription-based market intelligence databases and leading international periodicals, plus market and sector reports. Enterprise Ireland client companies will also have access to a team of dedicated market research specialists.

The centre replaces a more basic, by-appointment-only library facility and will provide self-service access for a much greater number of users. Targets are more established exporters who are growing their sales, in addition to those new to exporting.

Centre Manager Deirdre McDonough comments: 'Sound and comprehensive market intelligence is the critical foundation of every company's exporting plans. It enables them to test their market proposition, understand the characteristics of individual overseas markets and gain competitive advantage.'

Enterprise Ireland makes use of a network of Irish and 34 international offices and in addition to export advice, helps Irish companies to invest in research and innovation, compete and be more productive, start up and scale up. It will also help international companies to find Irish partner firms.
