Fiksu Secures $10m for App Ad Targeting Platform

July 4 2012

US-based Fiksu, which offers an ad targeting platform for mobile devices, has secured $10m in Series B funding. The money will be used to accelerate growth across the European and Asia-Pac regions, develop its optimization platform, and drive partnerships with agencies and brands.

Micah AdlerFiksu's FreeMyApps provides a platform through which users are rewarded for engaging with new apps. The firm currently records more than 1 billion user app events per day, and this data is used to help clients understand app marketing trends, drive real-time optimization of ad campaigns, and help developers acquire large volumes of users.

In addition, monthly 'Fiksu Indexes' benchmark clients' mobile app marketing against industry averages and give information about trends impacting business in the sector - including analysis of mobile traffic, app store behaviors, and in-app purchases recorded through the firm's user acquisition platform.

The new funding has been led by telecoms firm Qualcomm and existing investor Charles River Ventures, and brings Fiksu's total raised to $17.8m.

CEO and founder Micah Adler (pictured) comments: 'Fiksu is hyper-focused on using our outstanding and innovative technology to deliver the best app marketing solution for advertisers. It is a true honor to be backed by investors who are deeply respected within the mobile ecosystem and bring such a distinguished track record of innovation excellence.'
