Former Yahoo! Insights Leader Joins Porter Novelli

In New York, Omnicom-owned PR agency Porter Novelli has hired former Yahoo! insights leader Joe Shantz as Senior Vice President, Digital Analytics, responsible for identifying and creating new digital tools and channels for audience engagement and analysis.

Joe ShantzPorter Novelli, which was founded in 1972 and now has 90 offices in 60 countries, works in crisis management, healthcare, technology, corporate affairs and consumer marketing, and offers clients promotional services based around social media.

Prior to joining, Shantz (pictured) spent two years at Yahoo! as Director, Marketing Insights, responsible for audience recommendations and targeting. Before that, he worked for MySpace as Director of Analytics, and held digital analytics and research positions with Turner Broadcasting, PHD and BBDO.
