Adventis in Administration

Marketing and PR group Adventis has filed to appoint administrators, having recently sold its last two subsidiaries, channel optimisation specialist bChannels and campaign analysis division Second2.

The UK-based group was optimistic in January that it was turning around after restructuring, following a difficult year in 2011, and was valued at close to £50m - but was unable to publish annual audited accounts in June and saw trading in its shares suspended on AIM on 26th of last month. At the time the group said it was working with its auditors and expected to release the figures shortly - however reports from Reuters said it was considering insolvency.

bChannels and Second2 were the last remaining trading businesses of Adventis. Their sales, to newly formed entities partly owned by the subsidiaries' management teams and partly by RCapital Partners LLP, were announced on Monday and raised half and three quarters of a million pounds respectively - this money will go to creditors.
