New BlogFrog Platform Targets 'Influencers'

July 31 2012

Marketing technology provider BlogFrog has launched a platform through which brands can identify and 'activate' social media influencers who create content on blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.

Rustin BlanksThe new 'Influencer Marketing' platform features a searchable database of more than 100,000 social media influencers, community-based knowledge for building campaigns, and management dashboards that monitor and measure the effectiveness of social influencer programs. Marketers can select influencers and engage with them on specific topics and vertical markets. These influencers can then join a number of social media programs, ranging from sponsored conversations on the influencer's blog and video posts, to Facebook and Pinterest campaigns.

Once created, content can be distributed across the web on social media sites and brand properties, or curated for custom display on the marketers' own properties, such as the corporate web site or Facebook page.

BlogFrog's technology platform tracks and monitors the creation, distribution, reach and engagement of a wide range of influencer content. Users get access to real-time performance metrics that track how consumers interact with and spread social content, including comments, shares, votes, pins, tweets, coupon downloads and page visits.

CEO and co-founder Rustin Blanks (pictured) comments: 'We are very excited to offer a complete platform solution to empower brand marketers to activate social influencers, connect with target consumers and ultimately, transition from distracting banner advertisements to trusted brand-sponsored content.'
