Annik and Mobile Posse Target 15m Consumers

August 14 2012

India-based MR technology and operations company Annik has partnered with mobile home screen messaging specialist Mobile Posse, to provide access to the fifteen million consumers who have signed up to receive offers and content via the latter's pre-loaded software.

Rudy Nadilo and Greg WesterUS-based Mobile Posse offers a platform through which wireless carriers and advertisers can engage consumers with graphical interactive messages and surveys via the home screen of mobile phones. Its screen surveys and custom polls have been developed to allow advertisers to link up with opt-in consumers, while also gaining insights through consumer behavior and demographics data.

The company can also target subscribers through passive information collected from each phone, including carrier, the phone's language mode (Spanish or English), model, phone features and the approximate purchase date; and target by the phone owner's age, gender and primary zip code.

Rudy Nadilo, Senior Partner, Global Research Practice at Annik, says the deal will provide researchers with direct access to mobile phone users' home screens without going through a panel, e-mails or texting; while mobile Posse EVP Greg Wester comments: 'When you combine Annik's market research delivery expertise with Mobile Posse's 15 million cell phone customers you have a really exciting new way to do research'.
