Datalogix Acquires Data Insights Firm Connection Engine

US-based digital audience targeting specialist Datalogix has acquired digital marketing technology firm Connection Engine, which provides data-driven insights to drive customer acquisition and retention programs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eric RozaFounded in 2010 by former Merkle and DoubleClick exec Eric Kirby, Connection Engine develops technology to help clients connect with, analyze, and take action on consumer data. Its SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform offers automated insights from billions of data points, which are used to drive customer development programs.

This platform will be used to expand Datalogix's DLX ROI product suite, which provides audience insights and sales lift measurement for brands, agencies, and media companies.

DataLogix operates an audience and measurement platform powered by a database which the firm says tracks behaviour for over $1 trillion in consumer spending. The company's CEO Eric Roza (pictured) comments: 'The growth in both data production and real-time decisioning systems calls for a fundamentally new interaction model between the offline and online worlds, and the Connection Engine platform is a key component in Datalogix's plans to lead the industry toward this future.'

As a result of the deal, all Connection Engine employees now join the Datalogix team.
