Funds for Off-Line ROI Tracker Bizible

ROI tracking software provider Bizible, Inc. has raised $1.7m in a Series A round of financing led by Madrona Venture Group. The firm was founded in 2011 by Microsoft advertising veterans Aaron Bird and Peter Thompson.

Bizible targets local service-based businesses delivering products and services off-line with a promise of 'the same level of accountability and measurability' as online sellers. This is delivered using patent pending technology that tracks users from an initial ad, through off-line response and lead confirmation all the way through to purchase.

The new funding, to which MHS Capital and a number of angel investors also contributed, will be used to take the product to market, hire developers and designers, and scale its customer acquisition channels. Madrona's MD Len Jordan will join Bizible's Board of Directors, and comments: '95% of US goods and services are still purchased offline but they are increasingly marketed online. We are impressed at the way Bizible is starting with local businesses that directly benefit from a breakthrough capability to directly connect online advertising all the way through to offline purchase.'

Aaron Bird, CEO of Bizible, says the firm offers a new level of insight into marketing efforts for this type of business. 'Local businesses like dentists, chiropractors, painters, real estate agents, and insurance agents have no way of knowing how their customers found them and thus have no idea which of their online marketing efforts is working. We are able to track how their customers found them and how much revenue was generated by each of their marketing efforts across search engines, directories, local review sites, social media, etc. We can even track revenue down to the exact search term.'
