Havas Pools Strategy and Analytics Talent

January 28 2013

Marketing services agency Havas Worldwide New York has brought execs from analytics, community management and content strategy functions together in a new Shared Owned & Earned media practice (SOE), and hired four new staff to add to seventeen joining from within the group.

The new unit will be led by Richard Notarianni, the agency's Executive Director of Engagement Planning and Performance, and will support and work with agency teams.

Jennifer Bassett and Doug Halsey join as Content Strategy Directors. Bassett, formerly at Omnicom branding agency Interbrand, will help to build a system for effective publishing for web, mobile and social media channels; while Halsey, a sixteen-year digital media veteran, was previously a Senior Site Director for History.com, and will work to help clients develop a holistic understanding of the same channels.

Matt Cahill joins as an Associate Director of Analytics and Insights with a focus on building automated and scalable reporting solutions; and Shawn Shahani, formerly of American Apparel, iCrossing and Momentum Worldwide, as a Senior Strategist.

Chief Strategy Officer Tom Morton says the move puts shared, owned and earned content specialists 'at the center of the agency' and forms 'a new team of talent for the networked world'. Notarianni says the new group reflects and addresses 'clients' need to understand the business impact of networked communications' and 'partners a fully equipped analytics and engagement planning group alongside the social, content and community specialists'.

The new unit should continue to grow in the coming months. Havas Worldwide, formerly known as Euro RSCG Worldwide, is online at www.havasworldwide.com .
