Bronchtein Joins MPA as Eadie Retires

Media and ad research exec Lauren Bronchtein has been named SVP, Research and Insights at MPA - the Association of Magazine Media, replacing Wayne Eadie who is retiring after 40 years in the magazine sector.

Lauren Bronchtein and Wayne EadieMPA, formerly known as the Magazine Publishers Association, is a non-profit trade association headquartered in New York, with a government affairs office in Washington DC.

Bronchtein joins from the Style & Entertainment Group at Time Inc, where she served as Consumer Insights Director and developed client engagement strategies with PEOPLE and PEOPLE StyleWatch magazines. Prior to this, she served as a senior level account director for numerous ad agencies and consulting groups including Young & Rubicam, Mediacom, TBWA\Chiat\Day and BBDO.

In her new role, Bronchtein is responsible for all marketing measurement activities, including aggregating and analyzing data and trends to promote and prove the influence and effectiveness of the sector. She will also serve as President of PIB (Publishers Information Bureau), a member organization administered by MPA that provides a source of consumer magazine advertising spending and related data.

Eadie will continue in an advisory capacity at MPA until June, having worked for the organization since 1997. Before joining, he was VP, Global Advertising Research at Reader's Digest Association, Research Director at Newsweek, Research Manager at Business Week, and Research Manager at Family Week. He began his career at Grey Advertising.
