Blink Buys Focus Group Facilities from Gilmore

April 9 2013

In the US, Seattle-based user experience research firm Blink Interactive has acquired assets from The Gilmore Research Group, including participant recruiting services and focus group facilities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Donna GlosserGilmore's Qualitative Research Services division provides participant recruiting services for a wide range of local and national clients through a database of 45,000 individuals, along with access to focus group facilities in downtown Seattle. Blink will continue to use these focus group suites while it builds its own facilities near its waterfront office to complement its three existing usability labs.

As a result of the acquisition, Blink has created a new division called Northwest Insights, managed by Gilmore's former Director of Qualitative Research Services Donna Glosser (pictured), and her team.

Karen Clark Cole, CEO of Blink, comments: 'We have been working with The Gilmore Research Group for almost ten years now, and their participant recruiting capabilities are the best in the region. Through this acquisition, Blink is now able to offer our clients in-house recruiting and high-level focus group capabilities.'
