Former Total Politics magazine Commercial Chief Jeremy Halley has joined British polling and research specialist ComRes, in the newly created role of Business Development Director.The company is known for its polling work on behalf of The Independent and Independent on Sunday, the Sunday Mirror, ITV News and the BBC.
Halley (pictured) joins with a marketing and media background that has included roles at Biteback Media's Total Politics magazine, The Economist, and Independent Newspapers, where he worked for more than a decade. Earlier, in his career, he held sales positions at IPC Media and Television South West.
ComRes Chairman Andrew Hawkins said that the appointment demonstrates the company's commitment to a 'vigorous strategic expansion plan' to build the business.
'We have a very clear plan for building the business and Jeremy's appointment is a key part of ensuring we are able to deliver against that strategy,' Hawkins stated. 'We were impressed with Jeremy when we worked alongside him at Total Politics and it's terrific to be able to bring that experience to our own clients at ComRes.'
