Oracle Adds Language Options to Social Media Tool

Software giant Oracle has enhanced its Social Relationship Management tool (SRM) with the addition of listening capabilities for Simplified Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish, in the SE&M module.

More languages added to social media listening toolSE&M (Social Engagement & Monitoring) is also adding listening support for China's Sina Weibo, other Chinese networks and sources, and Latin America's Reclame Aqui and Vostu social networking sites. Local language content includes user interface, keyword support, latent semantic analysis support and data sources.

The firm describes SRM, which consists of SE&M and a Social Marketing (SM) product, as 'the industry's only unified, integrated and complete social solution for listening, moderation, engagement, content and apps, publishing and measurement.'

The additions bring Oracle SRM's range of languages to 31, and the firm says it plans to aggressively expand and enhance its social capabilities with a comprehensive range of languages. Meg Bear, VP of Oracle Social Cloud, comments: 'Oracle's ongoing expansion of Social Engagement & Monitoring's global listening language capabilities allows international businesses to easily understand and communicate with their customers without location and language barriers, creating a seamless and effective social media experience with high impact.'
