GNS Healthcare Raises $10m for Business Expansion

GNS Healthcare, which provides analytics and services based on massive quantities of patient data, has completed a $10m Series B round of financing, earmarked for expanding the business.

The Cambridge, MA-based firm uses patented big data analytics methods to build predictive models and products to discover the underlying causal relationships in healthcare, and to predict the effects of health interventions for individual patients. The firm's parent company is Via Science, a big data specialist focused on business intelligence, finance and economic forecasting.

GNS Healthcare's new investment has been led by Cambia Health Solutions, a Series A investor, with additional funding from California's Heritage Provider Network, and Mitsui USA.
