Semetric Debuts Big Data Tool for Music Industry

Music industry analytics specialist Semetric has launched a new tool called Musicmetric Explore, which uses big data to help execs locate fans via Twitter, uncover trends and discover artists.

Gregory MeadThe firm's flagship Musicmetric product aggregates and analyzes all available online information about an artist, giving industry clients an insight into online consumer behaviour. In addition, clients can use the Musicmetric Pro dashboard to track and relate social media activity, news coverage, online streaming and sales figures.

Additions to the Musicmetric range include Musicmetric Insights, which automatically analyzes performances across billions of fan interactions; and a suite of enhancements based around Twitter mentions and geo-tagging information, which will be integrated into artist pages.

CEO and co-founder Gregory Mead (pictured) comments: 'We're delighted to be able to put powerful auto analysis tools into people's hands. The Explore product will further expand the usability of Musicmetric to brands, marketers, touring and radio executives looking to identify the market beating artists to make better informed and ultimately cost saving decisions.'
