Czech Republic-based social media monitoring firm Socialbakers has opened an Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, and has appointed former Experian exec Simon Trilsbach as Vice President in charge of business across the region.Launched in 2009, Socialbakers offers benchmarking and analysis, including brand performance metrics, to enable companies to measure the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns across all major social networks. Earlier this month, the firm completed a $26m Series C financing round.
Trilsbach (pictured) joins the new Singapore office from Experian, where he latterly served as General Manager - Marketing Services, South East Asia, Hong Kong & Taiwan, responsible for leading sales and client services in the region for the firm's marketing and insights tools, including Hitwise and Mosaic. Earlier at Experian, he was Head of Strategic Sales in the Melbourne area, Australia.
