Social media and user analytics specialist Kontagent and mobile games business engine PlayHaven have been renamed 'Upsight', following their merger in December. The firms came together at the end of last year, to create one company that helps mobile-focused businesses and app developers understand user behaviour. At the time, San Francisco-based Kontagent provided a mobile analytics platform tracking over 400 million monthly active users, while PlayHaven's platform spanned more than 20,000 games.
As part of the re-brand, Upsight has launched a 'freemium' offering which provides app developers with access to a single enterprise-grade analytics and marketing platform offering real-time data insights.
CEO Andy Yang (pictured) comments: 'We formed Upsight because we believe app developers needed one solution to help them bridge the gap from analysis to action. We think it takes an enterprise-grade analytics and marketing platform to do this - and we're rolling out a free way for every developer to get these tools.'
