Demandbase Raises $15m Growth Funding

In the US, B2B ad targeting and personalization company Demandbase has closed a $15m round of equity financing, to be used to speed up development of its advertising solutions, and fund new product launches.

Chris GolecDemandbase's real-time identification technology helps marketers to target online ads to the right companies; present consistent, relevant messages and offers on corporate web sites; and track activity through their web analytics or business intelligence tools.

The firm's latest funding has been led by Greenspring Associates with participation from existing investors Scale Venture Partners, SigmaWest, Altos Ventures, Costanoa Ventures and Adobe. The firm raised the same amount this time last year.

CEO Chris Golec (pictured) comments: 'Real-time bidding (RTB) display ad spending has become a $4 billion dollar market in just a few years, but it had lacked a B2B solution. The Demandbase platform fills this void, and the new funding will help us accelerate innovation, grow our proprietary data assets, and extend our competitive advantage.'
