Partners to Track Online Health Chat

June 5 2014

In the US, analysis provider WCG and the Health Data Consortium (HDC) have announced a partnership to track and analyse health data conversations on digital media. The deal will offer the latter's members and users greater understanding of current perceptions and trends, using real-time data.

HDC is a collaboration among government, non-profit, and private sector organizations promoting the use of data to improve health care. The new partnership is focused around the Health Data Conversation Radar, a customized tracker giving real-time views of the most relevant Twitter conversations among three specific US groups: doctors, members of Congress, and top health data media influencers. Analysis will include trending keywords, top influencers and conversation volume, giving a real-time view of what the three groups are talking about.

The partnership will also deliver regular reporting on insights to HDC's members. CEO Dwayne Spradlin comments: 'The core of our mission at Health Data Consortium is to promote and evangelize access to open health data... Knowing what's most significant to the health data community will help us and our members interact with, respond to, and engage the community more effectively..
